Position is working for a semiconductor manufacturer as an Information Technologist in a dynamic environment and group. Position involves design, implementation and ongoing support for a worldwide-based enterprise network environment. Position includes testing, design, deployment, and support of day-to-day operational tasks as well as project management. Solid technical and interpersonal skills are required to ensure all initiatives align with business goals and objectives. 【Responsibilities】
- As part of the Network Operations Team, provide support for day-to-day operational tasks associated with management of an enterprise network environment. This includes securing and operating all facets of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Voice services.
- Manage network projects which will include solution design, development of plans, project schedules and communication of status updates on project milestones.
- Provide support to remote sites, working with site personnel to identify and resolve network related issues.
- Provide 24x7 on-call coverage in rotation with peers covering network-related services.
- Occasional project-based travel and flexible to work outside of local business hours.
- Deliver continual system improvements and optimization.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline preferred
- Multilingual with Japanese and English written and verbal skills required.
- 5+ years’ experience required supporting a multi-site IP-based network environment participating in design, implementation, maintaining and troubleshooting aspects of the network.
- LAN knowledge should include a working knowledge of Layer 2/3 switching, IP routing technologies and cabling infrastructure standards as well as configuration and implementation experience. Experience with configuring and troubleshooting network switches and routers is required.
- An understanding of WAN architectures, including TDM and Ethernet, site-to-site VPN and packet switching technologies such as frame relay or MPLS is desirable. Must be able to use troubleshooting skills to isolate WAN related problems and work with service providers on resolution.
- Knowledge of security frameworks. Experience in configuration and maintenance of NGFW with UTM and ATP. Fortinet experience a plus.
- Experience with scripting languages (i.e. python, expect, and PowerShell for network automation and API integration experience preferred. Ansible experience a plus.)
- Use and management of network management systems required with experience in SNMPv3, APIs, netconf, Yang.
- Experience in design, deployment and operation of remote access solutions.
- Facilities planning and installation to include network cable plant, power and cooling.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound troubleshooting methodologies.
- DNS, IP Domain architecture, and certificate management required.
- Ability to author test plans, design documents and proposals.
- Must be able to work effectively with peers in a team-oriented environment, lead network related projects and take ownership of problem resolution as required.

- Experience with WAN Optimization technologies needed.
- Experience with Cisco wireless LAN hardware, configuration, security and support aspects within an enterprise environment is highly desirable.
- Experience with managing the design and support of all aspects of VoIP systems is desirable.
- Experience with Local server load balancing.
- SDN and SD-WAN experience preferred.
- Industry certifications preferred (CCIE, CCNP, CCDP, and Security+)
